Adding an Email Account on iPhone or iPad

You can set up your email account in the Mail app on iOS either automatically or manually.

🛠 Manual Setup (Less Common Providers)

If your email provider is not listed or you want to set up manually:

1️⃣ Go to Settings > Apps > Mail, then tap Accounts.
2️⃣ Tap Add Account.
3️⃣ Enter your email address and tap Next.
4️⃣ Tap Add Another Account > Other > Mail Account.
5️⃣ Enter your Name, Email, Password, and Description.
6️⃣ Tap Next. Mail will try to find the server settings and finish setting up your account.
7️⃣ If Mail finds your settings, tap Done to complete setup.

⚡ Automatic Setup (Popular Email Providers)

If you use a popular provider like iCloud, Google, Microsoft Exchange, or Yahoo, the Mail app can configure your account automatically using just your email address and password.

1️⃣ Go to Settings > Apps > Mail, then tap Accounts.
2️⃣ Tap Add Account, enter your email address, and select your provider if needed.
3️⃣ Follow the prompts and enter your email address and password.
4️⃣ If a Next button appears, tap it and wait while Mail verifies your account.
5️⃣ If a Save button appears, tap it.

Tip: Make sure you select the correct provider that matches your email account.

❗ If Mail Cannot Find Settings Automatically

1️⃣ Tap Next and choose IMAP or POP for your new account. Contact your email provider if unsure.
2️⃣ Enter the Incoming Mail Server and Outgoing Mail Server information, then tap Next. Contact your provider if you don’t have this info.
3️⃣ If settings are correct, tap Save. If not, you’ll be prompted to edit them.
4️⃣ If you still cannot set up or save your email account, contact your email provider.
