Cpanel Installing SSL Certificate

SSL certificates ensure a secure connection between your website and visitors via HTTPS. This guide explains how to create a CSR via cPanel, then order and configure the certificate until final installation.

🎬 Practical Video Guide – SSL Certificate Installation

This video provides a step-by-step practical demonstration of how to install and configure SSL Certificates.
You will see how to generate the CSR, validate the certificate, upload it to the server, and confirm that the website is secured (HTTPS) through a real example.

1️⃣ Create CSR via cPanel

  • Log in to your cPanel.
  • Go to SSL/TLS.
  • Select Certificate Signing Requests (CSR).
  • Fill in the required details:
    • Domain: the domain you want to secure.
important! : you must check the type of certificate if:
Single SSL: enter the domain like www.example.com
Wildcard SSL: enter the domain like *.example.com
    • City and State: your city and state.
    • Country: your country.
    • Company and Company Division: optional.
    • Email: contact email.
    • Choose Key Size (usually 2048-bit).

Click Generate.

🗒️ Internal Note:
After generating the CSR, copy both the CSR and the Private Key and add them as a note or comment inside the related support or installation ticket.
This ensures any colleague continuing the process can access the required files and complete the SSL installation smoothly.

2️⃣ Create an SSL Certificate on the Services Page

  1. After payment, go to the service page in your WHMCS.

  2. But before creating, ensure the creation of the email admin@example.com 📧

    1. If the domain is hosted with us, pointing to our nameservers, and MX records point to us, we will follow up with creating the email and receiving the certificate directly ✅

    2. If the email is not working or MX points elsewhere ⚠️, the client must ensure the email exists and can receive messages, as the certificate will be sent there.

    3. Press Creat for Module

3️⃣ Configuring the Certificate in Client Area

  1. Log in to your Client Area.

  2. Go to the service page for the certificate.

  3. Choose your Webserver type:

    • Linux service: select cPanel/WHM

    • Windows service: select Plesk

  4. Paste the CSR Code obtained from the technical team ✂️.

  5. Scroll down and click Click to Continue.

  6. Select the domain that will receive the certificate, and set the email to admin@example.com.
