Backup Restoration – WHM

🌟 Overview

The Backup Restoration feature in WHM allows you to restore a user account from a previous backup.
It’s essential for recovering lost data or rolling back to a previous state. ⚡

🔑 Steps to Restore a Backup

  1. 🔐 Log in to WHM as root or an admin-level user.

  2. 🖱️ In the search bar on the left side, type “Backup Restoration”.

  3. ✨ Click on the icon that appears.

  4. 🔍 On the page that opens, enter the account username you want to restore in the search bar.

  5. 📅 From the calendar box, select the Available Backup Date you want to restore.

  6. ✅ Scroll to the bottom of the page and press the Restore button.

⚡ Tips & Notes

  • 🛡️ Check the Backup: Make sure the selected backup date contains the data you want to restore.

  • ⏱️ Time Required: Restoration may take several minutes, depending on account size.

  • 📧 Notify the User: Inform the account owner that the backup restoration is in progress or complete.

  • 🔄 Partial Restoration: Some WHM versions allow restoring specific parts (files, databases, emails).
