How to Create an FTP Account on cPanel

Creating an FTP account allows you to manage your website files securely without giving full cPanel access.

📝 Steps to Create an FTP Account

  1. 🔑 Log in to cPanel

    • Access your cPanel account using your credentials.

  2. 📂 Go to FTP Accounts

    • Scroll down to the Files section

    • Click on FTP Accounts

  3. ⚙️ Fill in the Account Details

    • Login: Enter the desired username

    • Domain: Choose the domain for this FTP account

    • Password: Set a strong password and confirm it

    • Directory: Specify the folder this FTP account can access

      • Default is a folder with the same name as the username

    • Quota: Set a storage limit or choose Unlimited

  4. 💾 Create FTP Account

    • Click Create FTP Account
