How to Redirect a Domain in cPanel

Redirecting a domain allows you to send visitors from one domain to another automatically. This is useful for:

  • Domain changes

  • Website restructuring

  • Combining multiple domains


📝 Steps to Redirect a Domain

  1. 🔑 Log in to cPanel

    • Access your cPanel account using your hosting credentials.

  2. 📂 Go to Redirects

    • Scroll down to the Domains section.

    • Click on Redirects.

  3. ⚙️ Choose Redirect Type

    • Permanent (301): Tells search engines the redirect is permanent

    • Temporary (302): Used for temporary redirects

  4. 🌐 Select the Domain to Redirect

    • From the drop-down menu, choose the domain you want to redirect

  5. 🏁 Enter the Destination URL

    • Type the full URL of the website where you want the visitors to be sent

    • Example: https://example.com

  6. 🔧 Set Redirect Options

    • Choose whether to redirect with or without www

    • Optionally, select Wild Card Redirect to redirect all files from the old domain to the new one

  7. 💾 Add the Redirect

    • Click Add to save the redirect
