How to Upload Files to Your Host via cPanel

Uploading files to your hosting account allows you to add website content, scripts, and media.

📝 Steps to Upload Files

  1. 🔑 Log in to cPanel

    • Access your hosting account using your credentials.

  2. 📂 Open the File Manager

    • Locate and click on File Manager in the Files section

  3. 📂 Navigate to the Target Folder

    • Go to the folder where you want to upload the files

    • For the main website, this is usually public_html

  4. 📤 Click Upload

    • Click the Upload button in the File Manager toolbar

  5. 💻 Select Files from Your Computer

    • Choose the files you want to upload

    • Click Start Upload

  6. ✅ Verify the Upload

    • After the upload completes, check that the files appear in the correct folder

💡 Tips

  • Ensure file names do not contain spaces or special characters

  • For large websites, consider uploading files in compressed formats (ZIP) and then extracting them via File Manager

  • Organize files in folders to keep the website structure clean
